Just bought a 2001 Rolex Submariner

I just bought this on May 26th.. NOS Box and papers 2001 Reference 16610 with lug holes and SEL from a friend that bought it in mayors in 2001. He put it on once and said he just loved his 5513 with no date and couldn't get used to the date, so he put this watch in the safe and wore his 5513 ever since. I found out he kept it in the safe all these years and basically decided never to wear it. So we made a deal and I bought it from him. Took off all the stickers and been wearing it for 4 days now.. Its running half a sec a day so far... Well now it went from NOS to unpolished lol...

UPDATE. Post number 8 said it was polished cause the lug holes look to close. Cameras do funny things and i took a pic just to focus on the chamfers and beautiful lug... I posted a pic on post 9 to show that the lug holes are actually nowhere close and how deep also the lug hole is... Thanks

Also I know people will ask. I paid $6250...

Looks nice but I dont believe it to be NOS. Lug hole looks a bit distorted and too close to the bevel to be NOS. Likely been polished at some point. Still a nice example though, enjoy!

Sorry never been polished. Hard to see in the pic cause the pic has a distortion at the side and lug holes. The camera only focused on the lug and chamfers... The holes are very sharp and very deep... Thanks though.. I just took another pic now what you think?

Hard to get a good pic but you have an idea

Very nice watch!
You took advantage of your friend, though, as $6250 is way too below market price for a 2001 NOS.
