When I sell my house, I'm going to tell the bidders that the one with the highest offer who also buys my Honda Accord for $60K cash gets the house.

I can't believe you people are playing the AD's games. There are plenty of whatever Rolex you want. They just aren't at the ADs.

Or alternatively, "this is how you bend over".

To echo other's comments - I'd only be tempted by the bundling if it all happens on the same day - you walk out with Navi and Daytona at the same time. Anything else is just potentially bluster and hot air from AD.

Regarding the "Navitimer is a POS" comments. Liking or not liking the aesthetics of a watch is one thing (and I'm not a fan of that particular dial colour combo - the classic reverse panda is the one to have in the 43mm version), the Navi is actually a superb watch. The B01 is a quality COSC-rated fully in-house movement, and the Navitimer design has a heritage that almost rivals the Speedmaster... and therefore completely eclipses that of the Daytona. Fine not to like a watch's aesthetics, but the Navitimer is far from a POS.

Those that buy Breitling what is the typical discount on those from an AD? I went into a Breitling boutique the other day and they had some cool pieces.

Exactly. If you consider this deal, I would buy both at the same time. I wouldn’t buy the Breitling and wait for the Daytona.

These days 10 is easy. 15-20 if you work for it is not impossible. (From an AD, not a boutique)

OP, Don't do it. Like others have mentioned, even if you flip the Navi your in that Daytona high. IMHO the fuse has been lit on the watch market. I am seeing PM pieces that two or three months ago would have been sold by the end of the day hanging around for weeks now. Wait this out a little longer.

Politely tell your AD to go pound sand.
They wouldn't be pulling off such tricks if no one was willing to play stupid games.

That's my whole problem with something like this. Like someone else said, if he has the watch now and ready to do the deal that's a different story.

Yes, that is what I was thinking. Its bribery. Rolex would strip them of their status for that. The Swiss don't stand any nonsense of bundling other watch brands.

Don't play those silly AD games.

Not sure if I would call it typical, but with a good relationship I would say 25% is obtainable. Keep in mind if you sell it at some point, you will probably have to figure in another 25% reduction in value.

A Breitling Boutique is not allowed to offer discounts. They may throw in extra straps and such but no discounts. A Breitling dealer will easily give 15% off MSRP and possibly more. I bought a $4,200 Breitling and the dealer did it for $3,500, ate the taxes, and paid for overnight shipping from across the country to my front door.

Honestly that’s not a very difficult watch to get. In a few months you can probably walk into any AD and ask for it. I wouldn’t buy anything additional for that watch.

AD tells me if I buy a $10k watch the next YG Daytona is mine. Thoughts?

AD1: I have about $25k spend history on jewelry and a sub

AD2: I have about $20k on non-Rolex watches and an Exp1

AD3: no spend history but he said if I buy a $10k Breitling Navitimer the next PN dial Daytona on OF is mine

I like the new Navitimer but after seeing it in person i didn’t feel like it was worth $10k.

Should I entertain AD3? Or, just keep pushing AD 1 & 2.

The fact that AD3 even offered me this package deal for a Daytona makes me feel like inventory is getting better and perhaps demand has slowed quite a bit. I remember a couple years ago this same AD laughed at me when I asked for the same watch. Thoughts?
Like someone said…both watches at the same time is best, that is if you like the Navitimer

I love the Navitimer, but, as Polar Bear noted, that is not a configuration I like or would own.

Were they insisting that you purchase that specific Navi, or any Navi, such as the AB0138211B1A1?

I would wait for AD's 1 & 2. AD 3 is effectively asking $4k to $5k over MSRP on the Daytona. Who knows when AD 3 will get the next YG Daytona and if you really will be first in line.

My reading is that they can't shift the Navitimer and if you will buy at full MSRP (ouch!) they will give you the Daytona they have in the vault.

The question is, do you want to do business with a dealer like that? I wouldn't. But it's your choice.

Another question, possibly a better one is; why would you pay over market price for something you don't want?

Have not found ADs to have a lot of proven foresight and also list gets constantly reshuffled. Would tread carefully.

Why not just spend 10K more for the Daytona and get it now?

Not unless the Daytona was in stock.
Otherwise it’s just a promise. That may or may not be broke.

Two greys have told me the market for Oysterflex Daytonas is dead, absolutely dead!

Get both watches at the same time or just be a little patient! Use the current environment to your advantage!

PM always traded heavily under retail. That dynamic, or at least retail, will be possible soon. In fact, its already happening.

Bundle with this I’ll give you 6k for it. Then you ship the watches to your home in Oregon. Have your PN and be happy.
