Well, true, rent is quite reasonable here too. We have a few flats we rent out.

California may be troublesome, since it's the most expensive state in USA. (From my understanding)

Try another state? Texas is quite reasonable...? But I'm not sure how easy it is to get an internship in your line of work...

Congratulations on the internship and move to So Cal. I hope you find good accommodations and continue to learn/master the craft of watch making. Best of Luck!

Sorry it didn't work out, Bas, but you're young and there is still plenty of time to come to the USA later down the road if you want, even if it is just for a vacation.

Somewhat surprised that you haven't picked up any splinters while riding your wooden wonder-horse Sanctimony off into the sunset. I wasn't questioning anyone's personal brand of humor or intentions, just the practicality of actually pulling off these varied suggestions in so short a timeframe.

Happy Trails Kemosabe. I'll get your next round of 'Champaign' (sic). +
