GMT Master (1974) gold rotating bezel

My GMT Master's external gold rotating bezel is a bit worn at the teeth being 18k gold where can I buy this part with the black insert (not ceramic) and does anyone know the approximate price?

Thanks
Lou

Search here in the classifieds section or over on VRM, the complete bezel assembly will be tougher to find than just the insert. You should be able to find one with a little patience and perseverance. As far as price, maybe around $1000?

Yes, call Rolex Service Center. They will tell you exact price. The aluminum insert (black circle with gold numbers) is $75-100.

The SS bezel (complete assembly) was around S$400 (300 USD) a few months ago. The gold should be 2-3 times as much. Although if you have the 1675/3 or 1675/8 (TT or full gold; both with gold bezel; circa 1974), it may be a bit more than the 5-digit.

Anyway, the easiest way to find out is call them up!

Unfortunately this guy I spoke to wanted me to ship the Rolex to them so they can evaluate it. I said NO I just want to purchase the gold bezel with a black insert as my watch has now. He then said that he would get back to me with a price, but I got the jest that he was not calling me back. But that's ok he is is not the one and only in the World...

Before you buy a new bezel, consider taking off the bezel and cleaning it, along with getting a new washer that the bezel rotates on. A lot of times junk and crud get under it and gum it up making it harder to turn. I'm gonna send you a pm and see if I can help further. I experienced the same issues with my 1675.
