Is this a problem ?

Last week I purchased a new Submariner 114060. The warranty is dated 06/2019, and I bought it from a grey. I’ve noticed the bracelet is much more “rubbery” than my Oyster Perpetual I bought new last year. These pictures will show a slight gap between the middle link and edge of the bracelet. It’s hard to see in the pictures but very noticeable in person when you move the bracelet. Am I over reacting, or is this an issue that I should bring to an AD?

Those photos do show any variance at an extreme magnification. :)

The permanent links are simply press-fit together and they pull apart that same way too.

If you think that you see too much clearance, you can lay the bracelet on it's side and tap the links, which will push the splined link-pins deeper into the side pieces.

I do not see this as problematic though; there must be some clearance for the link pieces to be able to move.

That uniform clearance may actually reduce initial link wear associated with break-in. Be sure to keep them clean with a warm, sudsy scrub every several months to remove dust, perspiration and skin oil accumulations.
