Looks like a really really good fake...but being able to see the finishing on the rotor up close would make for a more secure call. I can't make the call on it/Im not the biggest expert here by a LANDSLIDE. That price is ridiculous though, so that would lean me there too haha. Even the bracelet cut outs look pretty good...which is scary.

Its either real or a very good replica. The only thing that makes me wonder is the watch movement being a little too small for the case?

Anyone else?

I would say it's fake. I have a 116710LN. The "Oyster Perpetual Date" wording on that watch looks a bit off to me. It looks incorrectly spaced.

I've looked at google images for 3185 and 3186 movements. The images that I found revealed the jewels and coloured wheels near the winding stem. This auction image hides the jewels and wheels near the winding stem, perhaps by accident or perhaps on purpose.

The seller has 'professional watch dealer style' photos from many angles but the auction lists an invalid serial number and doesn't list the reference number. I think this is a 116713LN.

The seller claims to have papers but doesn't show them.

Obviously too many doubts about the watch and seller. Can any one point to clear proof of a replica?

Chris,

I think this seller has done everything possible to hide the fact it's a replica. Shoddy pictures, doesn't list the reference or a legit serial number and has zero experience with high ticket items. Of course, there's always a chance that this is all by chance and he's the one in a million that actually is selling a legit GMT but just went about it the wrong way. Only way to know is to draw him out into the light by getting him to engage in a more personal 1 to 1 and sending you clear pics while sharing the serial number and all the backup necessary. My money is on scammer, but can't prove it based on what we see here.

That's a rough one there is a chance it's fake but probably the best fake I have seen and I have my self purchased over 30 of that exact watch. If I were buying it I would ask for more clear photos if he won't supply you photos I would consider staying away. A normal seller will normally have photos of papers and warranty card if they have it.

That watch was removed from eBay . There are some fakes going around that are pretty good even the movement you have to be very careful. I went to a local pawn shop here in Vegas and spotted a fake gmt ii just like that one and a fake frank muller that they were asking 11k for I informed them that they were both fakes I have a digital gold tester and proved to them the gold wasn't real. They still would not take them off the shelf.
