My new business: Buy $50 jeans, roll it on REAL dirt, $399 to undercut these ...

Mine are not fake, but real authentic dirt. I am going to be so rich ... :D

This is similar to my idea of buying new cars (namely Range Rover Evoques and Porsche Panameras) and hammering in a couple of the panels then scratching them with my keys before selling them on to the people who buy ripped jeans.

This 'dirty' blue denim fashion statement has seemingly evolved from the overpriced (and also phony) 'ripped jeans' offerings from the early 1990s. Before that it was 'pre-faded' denim. What's next on the faux-fashion horizon? It says a lot about the individuals who buy them.

The 'distressed look' is primarily for people who wish to give others the impression that they have paid some major dues along the way. It's not only limited to clothing but includes electric guitars as well. Some folks are also willing to pay big bucks for a factory/intentionally blemished instrument so they can pretend to be SRV or Rory Gallagher.

400 dollars for any pair of jeans is just insane, IMO

I'm sure they would pay for themselves in no time. If I saw someone wearing those in public I would probably give them a dollar. I would assume they were homeless.

Especially with fake dirt, I expect real dirt when I spend $400

I don't think incontinence-inspired jeans would fly Eliot. Totally unacceptable for those striving to look their coolest. A more feasible addition to the contemporary blue denim agenda might be oil and gasoline stained jeans to inspire visions and vibes of being 'on the road'.

Looks like this weeks Unicorn Frappacino or guerrilla advertising. No one is actually going to wear much less pay $470 for faux dirty jeans IMO.

I saw them on TV today. Hilarious. I wear jeans all the time but prefer the hygienic look. And worn naturally.

Couple years ago some guy was shooting jeans with a shotgun and selling them for double the price. Trends are funny.

Dirty jeans, for people with more money than brains or no washing machine.
