Help identifying 18K bracelet

Hello,

This is a 19mm bracelet that was on a 18K gold oyster perpetual date that I inherited. I don't believe that the bracelet was original to the watch, and although I am certain the watch / movement is authentic, I am not sure about the bracelet. The areas that concern me the most are the clasp and the pieces that attach to the watch - I have also not seen bracelets where the "bark" is on the outside vs the inside. I have attached some pictures of the bracelet.

Curious to hear your thoughts about whether this bracelet is authentic or not.

There are many indicators that this is an aftermarket bracelet:

1. Rolex did not make any 19mm President bracelets
2. The manufacturing methods are not typical of Rolex bracelets
3. The quality standards for the clasp stampings and clasp crown are very low
4. There are no Rolex stamps on the clasp blades
5. There are no hallmarks
etc., etc.

The bark finish on the outer links is not, by itself, really indicative of the bracelet being aftermarket as there are many examples of genuine Rolex bracelets that have been modified to have bark finishes, and these usually have the outside links engraved rather than the middle links as in an original bark bracelet.

Genuine Rolex bark bracelets have a rolled or embossed bark finish rather than the aftermarket engraved finish so that is a good way to tell them apart.

Thanks - yes that explanation makes sense. I’ll probably sell the bracelet in that case and buy a real one or leather strap
