Waterproof Leather strap for sea diving???

I am looking for a strap for water and day wear, I am going to live in Thailand in a few months so heat, transpiration and swimming will be permanent.

I don't like very much the feel of the original Panerai rubber strap on my wrist, nato's are nice but I prefer way more leather straps.

There are a few strapmakers that have for sale "leather waterproof straps", has anyone already used these straps for this kind of use, for example in places like Florida or others?

What are the result, does the strap hold the distance or are they just a little more resistant than a good aftermarket leather strap but no more?

Thanks for sharing your experiences about this, I have found a few but the ones from good strapmakers are not cheap, between 180-240 dollars, would hate to spend that kind of money if it only lasts for a few months.

I hear great things about Kodiak. Definitely worth a try.

Thanks Joe, just ordered one, took the "cognac" color one, and followed your advice and apparently they are the best ones, hope so because the price is even more than what I wrote, 289$, will also get a few nato's for days where we are definitely going to the beach, the kodiak will be for the rest of the time, knowing that when you live in Thaïland you can decide on the spot to go for a swim, and wouldn't want to leave my 233 on the beach with my stuff while I'm cooling off in the water, especially having a Pam or Rolex on the wrist and taking it off to go swim is a blasphemy, they are diving watches after all
