You’ll find more threads to the old reference number this watch had before being supplanted into the new global Presage range on watchuseek, than you will here.

Check out the shell straps from Nomos. I put a black one on my older Cocktail Time and it looks great. I think this watch looks great on black straps. It makes the blue really pop.

I already have! That's pretty funny! I wanted the blue tweed strap from Hodinkee, but it's sold out.

I was thinking about this one:

Yes I do. Just got it recently. Great watch for the price. Looks far nicer than it's modest price tag will suggest.

The price is not much different from what the same watch sold as under the SARB065 model designation, which included the 6R movement.
This 4R is a cheaper version, even if stated specs are no different – which always turn out to be worse than what the watches actually run at.

You’re embracing the Seiko brand now, what with the Grand Seiko and now this.
You probably got this a little before the new darker blue model was announced, which you can see in the link above.
Tempted myself, but would prefer it had the 6R movement.

Is the 6r that much better than the 4r? I would like to get a Cocktail Time also as my first dress watch.

I was wrong about the specs – the 6R has a much better stated accuracy, and 10 hours longer power reserve.
The 4R is a basic caliber, also shared with the $150 entry level Seiko 5s.
If it were me, I’d be looking out for a pre-owned SARB065 instead – but it’s worth bearing in mind that it was 13.1mm thick whereas the SARY075 is 11.8mm.

I have the last version. Has anyone bought any of the other colored faces? Wonder how they look in the flesh.

I am really interested in the SARY081, with the power reserve indicator. I haven't seen nearly any live pictures of it, but I have heard it wears huge, so a bit worried about ordering it sight unseen.
