Icon6 The Chrono Shop Vintage Rolex Parts, France!

What say ye? Did da search with no results and they are not in any lists that came up, so safe or not? Ebay store has them at 100% with not admirable numbers for activity.

If that's the site I think it is be careful if it's parts you're after.
Not everything there is original rolex made.

Thank you for posting this link. Makes me want to buy some parts so I can handle and admire them. Hope it turns out to be honest. They seem like decent prices for hard to find items.

Has a lot of good stuff there.

But be wary of the "NOS" #39 plexis etc.
There has been a lot of debate over them in the past....

I ordered a 98% 93150 bracelet with 580 end pieces and a set of thick spring bars from them so I'll report back.

Apparently package is awaiting US Customs approval as of yesterday, so hopefully today it will show up.

While not quite "vintage parts", the package arrived and the bracelet is excellent and new spring bars seem authentic.

Just a heads up guys. I've been reliably informed that the owner of this store has been banned from VRF due to selling fakes and not honouring returns.

Quelle dommage.

Another shady French on line company. I had been assured by the French American Chamber that such things don't exist in France. Double darn.

Glad those who ordered items from Chrono Shop did okay (according to the posts here).

A few months back, I warned a french fellow forum's member who was ready to pull the trigger for a faded insert from them. Some of them are genuine and nice, others are artificially faded.....

For example, please take a look at this one that was on sale a few months ago, it is inconceivable to me that a professional seller can imagine he will fool a collector with such an odd item....

Those of you who know what a faded insert should be like will notice the fingerprints between 30 and 45 minutes of this chemically faded insert.... unbelievable.....

And what about the second picture, a "Tritium pearl" (priced for 200 Euros...) that was obviously pierced and stuffed with whatever yellowish paste.... Unless I suffer from a paranoid disorder, but I doubt, these items are 100% fake.

Well, at least now, the company will show up on search and all will know of the good, the bad and the ugly.

Good job on informative postings, gang!

And thank you for your participation.

I too was looking at this and had made contact about shipping to Sydney. I'm after some 580 ends which they have NOS but given this thread think I'll keep on the search. Thanks for the heads up.

They have a pair of endlinks I want but at €100 they can keep them. A wtb advert here is my best bet.

The fake vintage parts are getting better. There are GMT bezels and even a new faded GMT insert avaliable now. I'm fine with folks selling them honestly as aftermarket, no harm there. Lots of industries use aftermarket parts. It's when they're passed off as genuine that things go haywire.

I had been eyeing that website for quite some time, but hadn't bought anything. Guess I'll stay away.
