Lets vote! Pam 372 or Pam 127
since there is the thread for pam 372 vs pam 390, and i don't think that is the right compare. since one is 47mm and another one is 44mm........ So i would love to make this thread to see how ppl like these big cases 47mm and beautiful pam's in the same class??? and there are someone who own both of them as well

I think Panerai killed the lure of 127 by releasing 372. Glad they did ...
It's 372 for me. |

Actually I think the 422 is the one that cannibalizes 127 sales. Both are sapphire crystal (albeit one's domed the other isn't), small seconds, 47mm, gold hands, in-house vs ETA movement, and don't forget the nutty price difference. Still... the 127 is (as is the 422) a sweet watch and you'd enjoy either.

127 is one of my favorite Pam.
Fiddy gets my vote.

The 127 case is the BEST one out there... if it didnt have 1950s on the dial I would still own it. It is WAY nicer than the 372.

127 for me, personally prefers to have a second hand and sapphire crystal. Also the brushed case / polished bezel combo is another point for the fiddy too.
Seriously considering to brush the case for my 422 in the future as the brushed case shows the curves/design of the case better. But it is impossible to go wrong with either one

again the 372
390 was no competition at all, the 127 makes it more difficult but the 372 is imo the best

And TBH, none of these are fair comparisons. If I could get a 127 for the same price as the 372/422, which one would I pick ? 127 no doubt .. 372/422 is a lot more watch for the money and a lot more practical choice. 127 is a lot more legendary in the OP circles but would I spend 17-20K to get one .. My thoughts echo along the lines of a 368/217 comparison ... a watch for yourself vs a watch for the community. |

The 127 case feels thinner or flatter on the wrist. While the lugs are thinner on the 372, maybe the brushed finish helps reduce the case thickness perception or that the domed crystal gives the 127 a more tapered look. The smaller crown also adds to the illusion.
Tbh no other Panerai evokes the feeling of the 127 more than the 372/422. |

Have the 372 and have the 422 but can tell you that 127 has a special dial configuration Just could never find one in my part of the woods at a reasonable price.Still a grail in my opinion.

127 for the domed crystal, dial, dial font, lume, brushed case/polished bezel and history within the modern PAM line up.
372 for the price, movement, case shape, no "1950" text and plexi. For me, 127. |

The 372 case owns the 127 case IMO. The plexi is the icing on the. Ate.

Great photo's mike thanks!!
What do you think of the lume color difference? Green vs 'old look' Does that lume color give the 372 a more vintage look? Greetings |

I find it hard to compare them because of the price difference...the 372 is 1/2 the price of the 127. Bang for buck, it's got to be the 372...but I feel that's a function of price rather than watch. If I was simply asked to pick the one I'd take without respect to price, it would be hard not to choose the 127.

Even 127 is lower price, i still buy 372
Why?? Because 372 is more beautiful. With the price of 127. More Expensive. 1000% i choose 372. 127 has no date, no chrono, or any other complication. Its not worth of money to buy 127 |

Not sure if i get the comparison of these... Aside from the fact they are both 47mm
The case shapes are different One is polished one is brushed The fonts are different sizes The hands are different sizes & shapes One has a second subdial In panerai terms, aren't they are as different as can be?

217!!!
Oh... I'm sorry, was that not a pole option? I like the 127 over the 372 [/422] (I like my Lume green, writing white and 3-6-9-12 served with small-secs ) But... I will take the 372 [/422] because the 127 is too expensive... and the 372 [/422] is one damn fine PAM
