Receipt from Panerai for Service?

I took my Panerai to an AD for service. The AD told me they sent it in to Panerai and it did return in a Panerai service case. However, I received no paperwork from Panerai - only the AD's receipt. It's been awhile since I sent a Rolex in for service, but seem to recall that they send pretty detailed Rolex paperwork back with it.

I asked the AD about this and they said they didn't have any paperwork from Panerai to give me. Is this true? The cynic in me wonders if it could have been serviced in-house by the AD or one of the AD's independent contractors. This would certainly increase the spread they made on the service. I doubt it happened this way, since I received the service case and the watch was gone for a LONG time. However, you never know.

Thanks.

You should get a receipt for the work done at the service center

I believe that Panerai does provide a copy of the receipt and service work for the customer. I would ask the store to contact Panerai and request a copy.

Should receive a detailed invoice of work that was done and any parts that were used if it went to Panerai! When I have my Rolex serviced at my AD ( they have a certified Rolex trained watchmaker in-house) I just get a store receipt for the price of the service...
