Finally got my daily beater!

Been searching for a year for a decent watch as a companion/beater to my Triple 6. After some research decided on a Steinhart OVM homage to the Rolex military sub 5517. Went online and got a cut price deal on an OVM barely a year old and in mint condition. Hope it will serve me for many a long year

Great choice for daily wear.
Bought my Ocean 1 new in June 2007. Wore it daily for 9&1/2 years, never serviced or even opened. Kept Chronometer grade accuracy the whole time.
My Son gifted me a Seiko SRP775 (New Turtle) for Christmas last year. It's my current daily beater, otherwise I would still be wearing the Steinhart. Nothing but praise for the watch.
I am cursed with champagne taste, but a beer budget for watches. I know Steinhart's Ocean 1 gets dinged for being a "Submariner Knockoff". I prefer to think of them as an "homage". Very high quality, and great customer service in my experience.

Absolutely brilliant Sir and agreed with the other reader @Terrakot , the black dial is more desirable than the anthracite one.Your ETA 2824-2 based Stht watch is exceptionally robust, you wont have any problems whatsoever as my brother can attest and it's one of his favourite watches.

Technically speaking that's an Ocean One Vintage Military (OOVM) not OVM

Your Seiko is a real beater as well and will last many many years. My old Seiko Perpetual Calendar still runs accurately after 18 years. I'm gonna use my beater a bit more regularly to run it in!
