A. Lange & Sohne 1815 - pure perfection...
Few watches are absolute perfection to me these days... but the Lange 1815 is a rare exception. Perhaps it's due to it's simplicity? It's classic old world feel... its pocket watch and marine deck chronometer influences? It's railroad track chapter ring... the blued alpha hands. Its arabic numberal font. The simple sub dial. The lack of date. The movment. Yes, indeed its everything all wrapped up in one package that is absolute perfection to me.
What - I can't get a bit romantic ? Some shots I took... [IMG][/IMG] |

Gorgeous. ASL is one of those brands that is under-appreciated. To me, they make some of the finest movements with the most beautiful finishing touches of any brand out there.
By the way, excellent photography as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am new to the watch world and for awhile was very attracted to designs such as AP RO, certain PP, etc. However, the more I look at at ALS classic designs such as the 1815, I'm obsessed. Beautiful watch - congrats!

GB & mdgrwl.....I'm obsessed with the clean pocket watch look of the base 1815. Question though....how did you find the wearability? Just seems like (with the numerals) it would be completely out of place with anything other than at minimum a button up. Your thoughts?

I love Lange's and its entire 1815 line. Perfection? Yeah, I'd say so.

I have 2 Lange (1815 Chrono and Richard Lange boutique edition) and wear them with anything from suits to smart-ish casual. You can make it significantly more 'casual' by switching up the strap. For pure sports watch though will switch to Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
