Is it worth buying a vintage Cellini with a fake buckle?

I'm considering purchasing a vintage leather strap king Midas for a slight discount but unfortunately it looks like the buckle and strap aren't real parts. It seems like quite a few Cellini's from the 70s and 80s have non-original buckles, so my question is how much does this matter? I'm also wondering whether RSC would allow me to purchase a new strap + buckle? However even if I did, from what I've read online a service might a) not be possible for a Rolex >30 years old b) result in them replacing the dial (which I definitely don't want). It feels like I should give it a miss, thanks for your help!
