Ok, now the question is if Omega will try to cash in on Silver Snoopy hype by making something similar and "limiting" it to some huge number with too high of a price for what's inside.

Semi-joking cynicism aside, 11 April should be interesting if that's the big day. Let's hope "Houston, we have a problem" doesn't apply to this mission.
Sadly, I'm betting omega does exactly what you stated. Hoping they don't and keep it somewhat "special" at a reasonable price.

I could have bought the original new from an AD for under $3,000 and I said to myself, "While I kind of like it, I don't think I'd ever really wear it." I'm now, clearly, kicking myself.

Me too, but with the Moon to Mars. Not that I wouldn't wear it, I spend enough on watches at that time. Thing is, it would have made a good return and saved me money.

Doubt it. Maybe that'll put the new 321 movement into it

Weird they didn't bring it out last year for the 50th. I was really bummed nothing came about.

So the new Snoopy won't be a limited production piece....interesting. I'm betting that won't matter as far as how hard it will be to obtaining one. Giving the current situation with the Corona Virus & Baselworld being cancelled, I wonder if it will still happen?

Apollo 13 (Snoopy) celebrates 50th anniversary this April 2020. You are referring to Apollo 11 for 50th last year.

I saw something on Omega’s Instagram feed about a date in October. I think 5th October from memory.

It's definitely coming in October.

Here's to hoping it's as cool as the 45th.

I hope not. I'm tired of this gold business that Omega has been doing. :(

Gold is the traditional 50th anniversary material, and the Apollo 11 full gold looks great. They also did the gold accented one which I thought was meh.

However, I will take a long shot and say they will do a full white gold version with pale/silver dial for the 50th anniversary snoopy. Gold for the 50th, but white for the ‘silver snoopy award’.

I concur.

I'm fine with full gold. I just don't want two-tone.

50th Anniversary "Snoopy"

The only thing I wish them to bring back is the silver sculpture with the enamel filling, that was sooo cool, maybe they’ll do it on the dial this time

Each Boutique can set their own rules, as I understand it.

The ones I've asked are asking for $10k.

I checked in with one of the boutiques in March and they were taking a $5000 deposit for it back then.

I’m surprised that each OB can set their own rules for deposits. I would assume given that they are corporate stores that the deposit policy would be the same. Regardless, my OB required a $7k deposit.

I agree. The deposit was suppose to represent the full price of the watch. Given that there are no photos nor official price, my guess is they used the 45 snoopy as a basis for the deposit.

Also, I believe they wanted a high deposit to ensure only serious buyers apply.

Absolutely. But, that’s still steep for a watch that’s unknown in visuals, specs and production volume by the OB themselves.

The most I’ve ever put down on a deposit is $1k. Anything more and the AD owes me monthly dividends on their loan.

My local Omega Factory Boutique won't take a deposit until there is pricing and photos. I have a good relationship so as soon as those are available, they will take the "deposit".

The one thing he was 90% sure of is that it would not be a "Limited Numbered Edition" bit it would be "Limited Production"........we'll see
