Boxes and anchors

Did Rolex switch to new box and no anchor for the SS Sub 16610 overnight or phased in slowly?

My 2004 last quarter 16610 came with newer box w/o anchor.
I have a last quarter 2003 LV with older box and with anchor.

Did all '04s have the new box config?

The Anchors were stopped being used by Rolex in 2005.

The Dealer puts together the package....

So, Anchors lasted as long as the Dealer had them in the back room and could put one in.. No real telling how long they were still around after Rolex stopped issuing them to Dealers.

Likewise for the boxes.. However, since all of the SS models went out the door with the same box, and only Subs went out the door with anchors, then the boxes would have been depleted quite soon before the newer box would become the norm...
