A London exhibition is not very likely as Patek is probably doing the exhibitions along the lines of their biggest markets. Next exhibition is most likely in the East Asia region.

I believe the next exhibition is going to be in Singapore.

Agreed, London was done in 2015. I don’t think there will be another for quite a few years yet.

The 5565A hasn't appreciated a ton (compared to an actual 565A over the same time period) and it was limited to 300 pieces. I love the 5565A but once it's worn it's sub 30K.

I see them selling briskly online in the high 40s. Maybe the auction will bump the prices higher. There seems to be no letting up in the demand for PP SS sports watches.

I think that the 5565 and the ORG 565 have been pretty flat over the past 5-10 years. SO much of the 565 value is condition that the price variation is larger.
But try and buy a 5565 for under 40K? I don't see it.. |

As an owner, I will say that the 5522 is a great watch to commemorate a special event, but it is not "worth" more than its retail price.

I think Tom Bolt says it the best. What's a watch worth is what you can get when you go out to sell it for. ( he said that in one of his youtube documentarries ). That's the commercial worth.
There is also, for me, an intrinsic worth of a watch, ie the workmanship that goes into the watch, how complicated is the movement, it's historic significance , it's status among a brand collection, and sometimes even the sentimental value that cannot be quantified in mere $$$ and is independent of resale value.

Patek said from day one that is was not a heritage piece. Sure there are a couple of pilots they did in the past but that was not the intent at all.
From 2015: "Patek claims the goal here was not to create a re-edition or tribute, but a fully functional watch that may be used in 2015 by a modern man." Hodinkee. I think the DNA argument misses the point as what Patek DNA did a nautilus have when they first released it? None. The need for a certain DNA means recycled ideas and stagnation and... Inbreeding Fresh genes are important
