Replacement of Rolex case
If you ask Rolex to replace a damaged watch case, will they stamp the original production number on the new case?

No all replacement cases will have different serials started with 4,4xxxxx until finished now on 4,7xxxxx.

have you looked into the cost vs buying a new watch? Many times it would be more sensible to just let the watch go and buy a new one. Especially if it isn't sentimental. If it is sentimental though you are basically getting a different watch back so i wouldn't do it even then.

If it's not too bad I've heard of people laser welding. Been a few threads here I think. You have pictures?
