I love and own the k005 and the w253. My buddy owns the y003.... All very worthy in different ways. If I had to pick just one, probably the 253.

I pre-ordered the SBGK005 but when it came in I backed out becuase as totally fabulous as the dial is the price tag didn't justify.

Grand Seiko SBGY003 or SBGW253 or SBGK005

Go for the SBGK005. I personally love the SBGK007-the same watch but w the cream dial

SBGW253 (30m WR)

Picture does not do this watch justice. I have had it since new.

Flawless design.

FYI both the Grand Seiko SBGY003 & SBGK005 have a WR indication of “splash resistant”... this is a deal breaker regardless of watch with the possible exception of a Patek minute repeater.

Also not a fan of spring drive technology.

From a biased owner's point of view...nothing compares to the 253!

My vote for SBGW253; I like its clean dial and the photos above show that it can be used as dress watch with the standard black alligator strap or can be an everyday watch with a more casual suede strap.

My vote is for the SBGY003 - no power reserve on the front of the dial and manual wind spring drive movement make it a special one. The look is very clean and when you flip it over, it's caseback nicely showcases the power reserve and spring drive movement on the back.

SBGW253 for me hands down. I lean towards more simple designs.

All beautiful though.

There is something about the blue dial, I would choose that one.
