From a shop it is a fair price, but if you resell to an individual quickly $8500 is more likely. Shop's have to pay for their rent, etc.

Keep in mind that it may make it harder for you to resell (or buyers will ask for bigger discount). If you're gonna keep it forever, then jump on it at the best price you can get (without papers is fine). Good luck!

Personally I don't like buying watches with no papers. If the previous owner is careless enough to loose them to me indicates they might have been careless with the watch. Probably totally ridiculous but one thing that just bugs me.

As mentioned you will take a hit on resale and may be harder to shift.
