Same here, anything past 40 starts looking tacky on me.

About 34mm-40mm is my sweet spot, but I can go a bit higher or lower.
I do not equate size and weight with quality or anything else.

A persons body size/shape is as relative as wrist size. I only have a 7.125 wrist, but at 65, anything less than 40mm looks small. Vintage jumbo size of 38mm is somewhat wearable, but marginal.

36-42mm is where I stay. Unless it is a GShock. I am 62 230lbs and have about a 7.5 wrist, but it is pretty flat. Could wear larger but generally dont like to.

My floor is 40 mm and I own watches that range from that to three Panerai's that are 47 mm. My wrist is 7.5-7.75 depending on the weather. I think watch size is also related to physical size. I am 6'6" and 250 lbs. and smaller watches may work but the middle to larger watches work better for me.

36 - 40mm looks best on me, I think. Wearing a 36mm DJ, as we "speak."

It's tough to go back to wearing a 40mm watch after wearing 34 mm and 36mm watches in rotation. They're so much more comfortable and make a lot more sense on the wrist because they don't take up the entire surface area of your wrist. I do hope that our favorite brands go back to making more 36/37mm watches.

Bah humbug, it’s also the weight, shape of case, case length.....the new six digit 40 mm subs are heavier & shaped bigger compared to my five digit ones.....it’s the heavosity that puts me off.....Padi is right, nothing wrong with those old lighter Rolex & Tudor watches, so rattle your old bracelets with the tinfoil clasps!

34mm is min, 42mm is max. Preferred range is 36 to 40mm.

Depends on the lug length, dial size etc....for me. I prefer no bigger than the current SubC case and small looking than and ExpII 39 would be too small for my comfort. Ive worn the 38mm Pateks with bigger, lighter color dial, it looked fine to my eye along with a smaller 4 digit Daytona.

I'm only 5'6"(with shoes on) and 140lbs. Anything pushing 40mm or more looks ridiculous on me. I even have a hard time with NATO's that are sort of thick. They end up raising the watch up or just causing too much bulk, it starts to annoy me.
