Sea Dweller 116600 SD4K or Submariner 116610LV Hulk

I have a Black 36mm Datejust and a polar Explorer ll. I want a diver. Which one do you prefer? Sea Dweller 116600 SD4K or Submariner 116610LV Hulk

Sea Dweller no doubt...
Not a fan of the green dial.
Also not as common as the hulkster...

Always like the SD over the Sub. Just one extra dimension.

I was choosing out of both references. I bought the LVc as the SD4K was bland looking in person. I then went on to buy the SD43.

SD4K hands down. I'm not a fan of the green to begin with, but the SD4K is a fantastic watch in it's own right.

Well, SD4K for sure for those two. Or you can still search a good 16600 like you were before

Can't go wrong either way. I have the SD4K but would love to have the Sub LV as well. Especially if you have more watches and you can rotate. So, can not choose....

Both are great watches. Depends on what you're looking for. I prefer having a color option and I really like the LVc so that's one of the reasons I went the direction I did.

Tough one given your collection. You’ve got a black dial watch, but certainly wouldn’t be a similarity to your DJ, on the other hand.....you DO have a black dial watch.
I guess if it were me I’d ask...would I wear the DJ in the same situations as I’d wear the SD? If they’d overlap, I’d get the LV (such a beauty)....if not you may want the black dial, fantastic sports watch first. But ultimately......
BOTH, BOTH, BOTH

I go back and forth on these two watches...

I love both of them, but ultimately I would end up choosing the LVc. The SD4k is a fantastic watch, but the devil is in the details-- the end links aren't a 100% match to the case, and the date window is a little too far in to the center of the dial, odd placement.

I could change my mind tomorrow, however ;>

One of those moments you have to sit and really think about imo. I like them both and if had the opportunity will have them both but if I have to choose one the Sub it is. Yes I like Submariners! So much so that I currently own three and enjoying every moment with them but if I did not own one I will have to at lease have one it’s truly an iconic everyday wear piece to own, again in my opinion.

can't go wrong with either choices.......given that SD4k went out of production, you should get that first
