My opinion/observations are worth what you paid for same.
Thanks for your reply! As mentioned above I've looked at different examples of the 16800 ands some have a faded bezel insert and a similar pearl on the bezel, others have the same pearl but a similar bezel as the 16800 I found. I think I'm going to gamble on the 16800 :)

what do you think of them with the new pics and info? (see page 1)

Found 2 Rolex watches at auction, not sure if they are real - help?

I definitely agree the DJ’s Jubilee dial looks authentic and original.

On the Sub, even with the better pictures, the position of the hands covers some of my favorite recognition points. But there are enough points on the dial there - and on the bezel insert to be 90% comfortable its authentic.

Will the auction house guarantee these as authentic? In other words, full refund if RSC notes either are not - because you’re having to trust the insides are good.

Dial is fine. There were a couple variations.

I think we have helped as far as we can go with the info you’ve gained from the inspections. Good luck at the auction.

And I would ask for their written policy/guarantee on authenticity before bidding. Maybe they use a watchmaker that would come check the movements?

That photo hosting site is blocked at my office.

I hope you are getting a really really great price based on all the effort you are putting in.

are they able to give you anything or a window of opportunity so you can have a watch maker look at the movement ?
