Both are beautiful, but if I had the option of choice, I'd go with white. It is more legible to me. My first 116520 was black (that's what the dealer got, so that's what I bought). A couple of years later, they got a white dial in, so I bought that one. The white was easier for me to use.

Today I would go white... tomorrow who knows!

I flip back and forth so much I know I'd be happy with either one.

White dial for me. And, it compliments my black dial diver, SD4K.

Thanks all so far.

Essentially I’ve been told by my AD that I can only have one & that means I can’t go back on a list once I acquire one colour & then deem I would want to own both. It’s one hit & that’s it.

No vote from me.
The answer will be the same as the last poll on this choice.

To be honest I generally prefer darker dials but the hype and shortage (as well as psychologically knowing that I haven’t been able to source a white dial) made me vote white dial
Also because I have the black dial and want the white one

Depends on what else you have in your collection. I picked white because there are many other black dial options I prefer over the Daytona. For a one and only it would be a much tougher choice.

I agree the ice blue is awesome but the brown bezel ruins it for me.

I would choose a White dial 116500 as I love the contrast and legibility but if the 116520 I would choose the black dial as it just looks amazing!

Black dial. I’ve been on the list waiting for on for 30 days and just got the email that one is coming “soon” yesterday. I feel blessed on that

I prefer black as there are less overall main colors on the watch (silver, black vs silver, black, and white). I just find it a cleaner look.

White. I love the contrast with the black bezel. Black does nothing for me and it is a little harder to read the sub dial counters.

At least you can get a platona anytime you want with a discount, can't say that for the SS

Black for a one and only or maybe 2 watch collection, white if you’re adding it to a 3+ watch collection. No real way to express that in the poll.

I traded a black dial Daytona for white so you know my stance. However, I feel the black is a better more versatile watch. Since I have a decent collection, I find the white to be a lot more fun in the group.

Black: obviously sporty, but a little more dressy and elegant
White: very sporty, more casual and fun
