Apollo 8 DSOTM
If anyone is in Hawaii (Oahu), the omega boutique has an Apollo 8 DSOTM in the window. It looks absolutely gorgeous but I just can’t buy another watch at the moment :( Not sure how in demand or hard to get these are right now, but I was surprised to see one in the window. Prolly because the hype is now all about the new Apollo 11 and the new 321 movement coming back.

They are supposed to be limited in production, but they are in many boutiques in the U.K. and there is one in my local AD window. I have one and it’s a great watch. Plenty of presence and not as thick as the DSOTm due to the manual movement.
More versatile than you’d think also.... |

There are various rumours which you can take which ever pinch of salt you seem appropriate.
I’ve heard 2000 per year. So not hugely limited but one wonders how long they will make as apparently the dial is difficult to produce. As with many things watch related, is speculation and nothing concrete. |

They are a bit of a niche anyway so probably less demand than some. |

I saw it 3 times in Omega boutiques across London and once in Milan. I don't think they are so rare anymore. Maybe Omega has ramped up production to meet demand.

I found one only a few miles away from home and two other places I called said they could get one within a couple of days. I went to see the one near me today, it wasn't for me though. So at least I can cross it off my wish list. |
