"E" on 1680 red sub mk 6

Hi all. Was reading Mondani Sub book on 1680 red sub and noticed these two photos. The top line on the letter E from the word superlative seems a bit short. Is it correct ?uploadfromtaptalk1406532314212.jpguploadfromtaptalk1406532330069.jpg

It's correct, you see this in many subs from that era

Thanks. I have also seen some mk 6 with "normal" E. I assume that they are correct also then?

Are you familiar with the 1937 Three-Legged Buffalo nickel?

A die was accidentally altered by an employee and resulted in the release of thousands of "defective" coins. They are worth a premium and always will be...

I think the "short E" was the result of debris getting into the mold of the dial ink transfer set-up.

It prevented the complete filling of the letter "E" and produced a relatively rare version of a really collectible watch!

Someday, they might command a premium too!
