Just a quick question.

Doea anyone knows an estimate charge?

They will likely also want to service your watch, not just replace the bezel. It's $1400 for service. So add that to the cost of the bezel.

+1. APSC is not going to just replace the bezel, they will require a full service as well in my experience.

Yep yep yep, so it's gonna be a lot more expensive than you think.

Plus you may want AP to polish the rest of the watch to match your minty new bezel. Add that on too!

For SS 15500, I was told “The bezel will be roughly 1200-1500 along with a complete overhaul 980. 980 is the complete service. We won’t be able to do the replacement of the bezel without a complete service.”

This is typical of AP to make a complete service mandatory - They actually often times find other seals/items that need to be replaced... At a cost, go figure.

OP, I’m glad you posted this as the thought of getting bezel replaced has never really crossed my mind. Time to pickup a beat/wornout 15300 or 15202 now.

Before you buy a new bezel. See how much it would be for an independent to restore the current bezel.

They can essentially sharpen the edges by scratching the bezel against a sanding block. You may shave a little material BUT your alternative is a completely new bezel

Most likely the entire watch is worn and needs a complete service. In that case just send it in to AP.

I know of a full service, refinish and bezel replace on a diver (15703) that was 2300 all in. Just completed in last month. So ballpark for 15300 should be similar since same movement.
