Room for a small one?

I work overlooking Cockle Bay Wharf so it's certainly convenient.

Count me in.

Hi Tom, There are plenty of hotels close to Darling Harbour. One right there is http://www.novoteldarlingharbour.com.au/, I would advise booking early because of the Sydney International boat show running at the same time, this is usually a big show (although this year maybe not who knows).

Bigger than Ben Hour as the saying goes.. Hi Adrian, see you there.

Now is everyone happy with the venue? With these numbers and the boat show running at the same time I think we should book within the week at the very latest. So unless anyone wishes a different venue I shall make a firm booking on say Friday. So speak now or forever hold your peace!!

Argh, I'll be in Sydney on the 24th July weekend... bummer!
Anyone can recommend good restaurants in Sydney? I've already booked Tetsuya's, the Observatory for 2 dinners. Any good lunch time venues?
Thanks Kai

Pity you will miss the GTG of the century!! I don't know what you are after for lunch but here are two stunning locations at the higher end.

http://www.batherspavilion.com.au/
http://www.berowrawatersinn.com/

if you go to the latter let me know as I am right there.

Thanks mate. Looks like very nice place (even for accomodation!). Unfortunately I won't have a car so it has to be in or near CBD.

Hi Kai,

Tets is awsome, enjoy that. I went to Aria on Friday night and it has a beautiful view along with great food but is only open for dinner weekdays.

For fine dining you can go to the doyen of Aussie cooking Bilson's but it is only open for lunch on Fridays.

Othe good little places for lunch are Number One wine bar or Rockpool Bar and Grill.

Hope you find a good one.

Have not been able to confirm earlier as I wasn't sure I'll be back in Sydney in time on the 31st. Have a bit of interstate travel with my work.

Look forward to meeting everyone.

Just a weekend getaway. Probably won't have the capacity to eat 2 dinners in a night so I think I'll have to pass on this.
