I always write with a $200 fountain pen, and yes, a 50 cent ballpoint pen writes too. But that’s not the point. I have given up explaining this, I just do my thing.
Well said Frans

It was a contentious assertion made by a sartorial sage a long time ago in a forum far, far away.

Ah, so we meet the original source! Great work, Dave! I'd love to see the whole collection (big ask though it is!) some day.

Those are some superb and very nostalgic ads, Roger. Many thanks.

On that note, when Rubens Barichello was driving for Jackie and pulled off a podium finish at Monaco, some years ago (which to say was an inspired drive is a huge understatement... it was proof Rubens could drive fast, before he became MS's whipping boy)... anyways, dear old Jackie, Rolex man to the end, gave Rubens a white dial SS Daytona.

I also remember a stir some years ago when MS's wife was allegedly spotted at an F1 race wearing a white SS Daytona. This is unconfirmed as I never saw the pic and figured she had to be wearing a white dial Speedy, since MS if VERY cogniscent of the importance of his sponsorship contracts.
