Submariner Bezel Insert

What can I expect to pay for a genuine gold/blue bezel insert for a TT submariner. I contacted Rolex and they gave me the name of an authorized dealer in my area who said I can order the bezel insert. Contacted them and advised me that the price was around $100.00 -Do you think this is for a genuine insert or an after market?
They told me it would be a genuine part. Are they that cheap because it seems very low

Thanks Richie

If it is just the insert and not the ring that could be about right. Not sure though.

With most watch makers and ADs you have to watch your wording. A Bezel is a bezel, just the metal ring part. A bezel insert is the middle coloured part which is I have been told is about $100 USD without trade or 50 with trade. The Bezel itself I would guess would be around $300 on a Sub since the one on my DJ costs $150.

I think they quoted you on the insert and not the whole bezel.

That sounds about right. I replaced the black bezel insert on my Sub two years ago and it cost about $75 at the AD. I paid $45 for the black bezel insert for my GMT-II.

Seeing those crazy prices for a mere insert, I wonder what this bloody insert would cost?

I had a small scratch on mine and took it over to Rolex HDQS in Beverly Hills. Very nice girl told me to go and have lunch then come back to pick it up.

Price: $55.00

The bezel itself is or was $80.00 and the insert $51.00. Those are the ADs price from Rolex. =) maverick

Possibly, but none of those scratches are visible under the naked eye. Macro photography does bring out the best and the worst!!
