Tremendous watch, wear in good health. No shame at all for Rolex lovers, Seikos are in-house products. Considering that, I always questioned spending a lot more on what essentially are certain Swiss case makers employing someone else's movement, and at a ridiculous price point. Saying these guys "modify" it in my mind just doesn't justify the excess dollars when compared to many well made Seikos, especially the JDMs.

Beautiful watch, Steve. Reminds me that I need to take my GMT in for repair. It stopped running a while ago so now I'm down to my Seiko PC.

Here are a couple of photos showing the Seiko (39.9mm) and the LV SubC 40mm). As you can see there is very little difference. The dial of the Seiko does appear a little larger in a smaller case size as the bezel is much thinner than the SubC. Both great watches.

I'm waiting on a Verneir caliper in the mail, and when I get that I can post some specific measurements.
The LVC sits a little flatter on the wrist.

Interesting perspective, I suppose you are referring the the likes of IWC (Mk XVIII) for example. Yes, I would prefer the Seiko, but in the end we should just buy what we like, because if price/value were the critical issue we would all be wearing sub $100 watches.

Thanks Ed! Get that GMT fixed. Seiko is always good for a change anyway
