116500LN vs 116509 WG

So recently i've been bitten by the Daytona bug.

If you had to pick one, which of these two watches do you think is the nicest, disregarding the price tags?

The ceramic is great but the wg blue is in a different ball park if you ask me. Go for the home run not the triple.

Both are great but the ceramic bezel is pretty cool.

It's very hard to disregard the price tag. That said I'd much rather wait till the new ceramic bezel white gold panda dial is available on bracelet.

500 c white > 509 WG > 500 c black.

But I like the oysterflex models more, a lot more.

Personally, I think the 509 looks the best, and it's my favorite Daytona out of the current lineup. However, at that price I'd probably be looking for a PP 5711.

WG blue dial is the best of the line up. Ceramic is all hype.

The WG is just the nuts. Racing dial forever.

I vote steel, but I don't like either. What you need is steel with a white dial. Then we're talking.

Disregarding the price tags? The WG.

Regarding the price tags my answer is the same. At RRP the SS is good value but the price is too bloated on the used market for me to not trade it up...

Out of those two the WG blue dial for sure...but i think the white dial SS beats both.

WG all the way, I had the pleasure of handling one in Rolex boutique in Harrods. Absolute stunner.

Not a fan of steel daytonas, and I'm not sure why. I love all the pm versions though.

WG gets my vote. If it had a ceramic bezel, I'd own one now.

That blue dial is really beautiful; the ceramic is sharp. I'd take beautiful over sharp any day of the week.

Love the WG but the ceramic has me spoiled. I'm OCD about actually being able to read my tool watch bezels.

I'd pick the SS. I don't like the maxi case on the WG models. I do like the blue dial though.

That's very tough question to answer. I think I stick to what I have which is 116500 LN 002. I normally prefe blue dial over black but in this particular blue Daytona, the numbers in sub dial and background on which these numbers are on have been offering same color.
That's too monochromatic to my taste whereas in oysterflex rubber white gold provides what I like to have

WG Daytona with Blue !Dial gets my vote! They can be had at a good discount currently vs the SS Daytona where you have to pay a premium!

Love my ceramic bezel but that WG if I had the extra scratch that would be the choice

Both are great watches but I would go with the WG, blue dial Daytona if money was not an issue. The dial is amazing and plays off the WG so well.
