Icon10 ATTENTION EVERYONE! I need to thank someone on this forum for their generosity!!

Hey everyone!!!!!!!

I have a wonderful story to share about the kindness and generosity of a member here on TRF!

A few weeks ago, Carey (clbcpa) made a post about a Special watch being available at his local AD and was willing to help a member achieve his dreams of owning this very special watch.

Well I of course was asleep and did make a post until page 2 of replies. Mr. Carey PM'd me and offered to help buy the watch and mail it to me. I couldn't believe it!

Carey was kind enough to patiently hold the watch as I scrambled for funds.

It is truly uplifting to know that there are still many people out there who are kindhearted enough to help a total stranger out and obtain something I have been searching YEARS for! We all know how much profit this watch can make, but instead Mr Carey helped me out with a most unselfish act!

Thank you Mr. Carey for offering me this treasured piece at MSRP with no tax! and doing so much work and replying to my ridiculous overzealous emails.

Thank you forum members for letting me have this opportunity and not jump on it before me. Yes, I read every post and all of you were so darn kind to let someone finally obtain this watch for the first time.

I will treasure this watch for the rest of my life and always be grateful to Mr. Carey and everyone else here who has helped me out on TRF by giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity!

And here are the photo's......

Big protective box!!

Oh boy, the excitement and nervousness....

<Angels Singing> ahhhhhhhhhhhhH!

Sooooooooooooooo damn beautiful!!!!

The family!

Of course, THE wrist shot!

Again thank you Carey and everyone else! I am soooo damn happy and grateful! I will Cherish this Daytona forever!!

-Steven

I'm going to every AD in Houston today to show it off! lol

Superb collection. Unbelievable gesture on a member's part. TRF is certainly richer for members like that. Now, if someone could do the same for me with a black dialed Daytona.......

HUGE CONGRATS Steven!!!!! And Carey, you're a fantastic guy!!!!!!

I am jealous!!! It is beautiful and looks awesome on you!!! Wow, wow, wow!!!

Steven, today the Ben Bridge in the Galleria is having a huge Rolex event...stopped in and they must have had an extra 80 or so models!!! Of course the salesman immediately noticed my sub and asked me about it. He also asked if there was any watch they could offer me....I said a ss white Daytona and he laughed!!! Oh well!

Enjoy your new Daytona in good health!
