What is best in life?

To crush your enemies
See them driven before you
Hear the lamentations of their women

Family. I have also taken this time to focus more on my faith. In the last several months I had been realizing that I was losing focus on my faith and letting other things get in the way and take priority that should never have priority. This affected my general attitude and behavior. What is now unfortunately happening in this broken world has given me the opportunity to change all that. For this , I am truly thankful.

What's important is for sane rational people to resist the slide into dysfunctional self-obsessed behaviour. To speak out against it where possible and to model behaviour based on common-sense and consideration for one's fellows.
Emergency Services and Health Workers are setting the standard at present.

What I do hope is that those who society has rewarded hugely like sports stars and bankers are cut down a peg or ten and the healthcare workers and the supermarket workers are raised up; money really is not everything, and is hardly anything when the apocalypse rears into view.
Interesting how many key workers, who keep society going, get paid so little. And how many of the highest paid are actually superfluous.

If you are a follower of Christ you are commanded to do so....

Proverbs 3:6: “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

It is also written, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Isn't this a contradiction?

Surely if the fans won't forget the team's and player's actions they wouldn't go to the matches to finance the teams and player's wages?

Freedom is the most important thing in life. Without it we can not rise to our potential. Family, jobs, wealth building, are all dependent on our mobility of movement. Loss of freedom while we live in our gilded cages relegates us to being refugees. I have a new grandson and with my loss of freedom I can not see or hug him. So to me Freedom is the most import thing in life.
