The turkeys are back. Flocks of 20-30 birds are hanging around the yard. The big males have been fighting their reflections in my windows, and I've had to put barriers in front of the windows to keep them from being broken.

I never saw a wild turkey in my life until 15-20 years ago. Now there are flocks everywhere. They can be pretty aggressive, chasing cats, dogs and people. I wouldn’t want to tangle with the big Tom in the first photo. He probably weighs 25 pounds.

Yes free turkeys are becoming much more plentiful. All you have to do is wrastle them and dinner is served.

Hi bored after 4 weeks of lock down apart from work (key worker) I have resorted to shooting hover flies in the back garden.

Oh and my daughters new pup Scooby.

Thanks normally get a few decent birds in the garden but not with two grandsons and the dog tanking around. The flies were unaffected by the racket.

Little bit of light hail in this neck of the woods.
Mostly golf-ball size at best although I did pick up one about Plumb size.
Lots of people who park their cars on the street checking out their ride.
No sympathy, toss all that junk out of your garage and park it where it should be.

He’s awesome! Spent a bit of time in Madagascar and would love to keep some, but no exotics allowed in Australia.

I do breed goldfields shinglebacks however.

Cooper's vs. Sharp-shinned can be tough to determine but in this case it's actually a Red-shouldered Hawk.
