C'mon Earl. You know fall is usually a beautiful time of year around here. Just today is sucky, overcast and drizzley. If you recall, last weekend was spectacular. We were in the Shenendoahs (in Syria, VA) and it was absolutely gorgeous. (Pictures are being prepared for posting on another thread later today or tomorrow.) When we get that Indian summer weather (uh, oh, was I being potically incorrect there?), it is wonderful in DC.

Cheer up, buddy, the weather is supposed to get better during the work week (naturally).

Gas is down to $2.25 and STILL no hard freeze. I shut off the outside water faucets yesterday, and am getting the cars ready for winter. Around mid Nov we put the plastic on the inside of the windows to prevent moisture and ice build up.

Yes it gets cold, but the rest of the year makes up for it, it truly does.
