116618 Owners. Show Us Your Clasp.
Is the 116618 supposed to have a stainless steel hinge underneath the lift up clasp bit? Just seen on mine and it looks stainless steel?

I’ve always been curious about what the purpose is for this piece. My 116718 has it as well
I’ve always assumed it’s some type of spring / pressure tension piece for the clasp that cannot be manufactured of 18k Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s reassuring. Thank you for the photos. Maybe Rolex had to make it in steel as it would wear out too quickly in gold due to the constant open and closing of the hinge??
