Well Rusi first the watch you saw is not a true moon watch. The real moon watch is the 105.012-66 or perhaps a 145.012-66 with the Cal 321 movement based on the Lemania 27CHRO-C12 from the era 1966-68.Most collectors assume that a 1969 Speedmaster was worn on the Moon because the landing occured in 1969 but this assumption is incorrect IMO a pre 1968 model ST105.012-66 or a ST 145.012 speedy Cal 321 movement was worn by Aldrin and the same model worn by Sheppard was the first Speedy on the moon, and the true moon watches . Because of the time line, Omega switched late 1968 to the Cal 861.There would not have been enough time for these new 861 watches to tested by Nasa. Now a 1971 mint speedy cal 861 would retail around the £900-975 about $1800 on a very good day but to buy in deduct around 20% 25%.

Never really took much notice of ladies watches any brand.Never had any interest in pocket watches, but now have just started to gain a bit of knowledge in that department.Always like the old mechanical watches, and suppose I always will. But most of all, grown to respect all brands of mechanical watches over the years, and always willing to learn,or help anyone if I can.

That's right, Rusi. Have you lost the other forum?
