Which Patek Am I Looking At Here?

Please forgive my Patek ignorance in advance. A cousin of mine has learned of the luxury watch bubble. :)

I've been asked to have a look at this watch but with no markings on it, I'm not having much luck identifying it. He actually has an interesting collection of older watches...

Anyway, any information that you can provide is greatly appreciated. Obviously, the band isn't original...I know. And I will have the watch in hand this weekend, so can provide more pictures then.

Thanks again!

Fake.
Even the lizard was a fake too. I think he was a cow that embossed himself when he fell on the rattlesnake.

For real? (I mean the fake part, not the cow lizard part).

If this dude's watches are fake, it's almost in a bizarre way...funny. He's the last guy I'd think had fake watches but has enough money that it would sort of make it ironically funny.

If the watch really is fake, this thread should be moved or deleted, certainly, but maybe someone else can weigh in...

Thanks.

Well, when you get the watch to assess, get some better shots.
Get the case back off and then we’ll know for sure.

Some people think Patek didn't make watches before 2010, and like to yell fake at any thing they have not seen before.
Looks legit to me, I would say 1960's. Would be willing to make a cash bet.
I am out of town and don't have my Patek book to look it up. If this is still going by the weekend I will try and get a reference number.

After doing a quick google search, pretty sure it is a reference 2506.

Most earlier Pateks, (but not all) have the reference number stamped on the inside of the case back.

Looks like you may be right, and my call of being fake was a bit premature.
Mea culpa.

Thank you! I will get that thing in my hands and get better pictures...and have a look inside as well. Will update ASAP.

Thanks again!

In your defense, those are pretty crappy pictures! All good.
