@springer: Always mind-boggling to see your collection. Do you have one that is a "favorite"?

I have a new favorite, the last favorite was stolen.

I have a 16750 that is one of my favorites now. I do not have any file pics of it to post now.

Springer,

Can't wait to see this 16750. I remember you telling us about the loss of the 1675

I've had my Z serial 16710 GMT II (stick, 3186 movt) for over two years. I am giving this watch as a graduation present to my son when he graduates from Nursing in Dec. 2013.
I wear my 16710 at least a few days a month.
Love the Pepsi but honestly love the Coke insert much more. Also have the black insert but have never installed it.
Three other guys at work wear their Pepsi ranging in production year from the 70s and 80s (including one dude who also has the Root Beer model).

16750? Isn't that the one that is known as the Large Woman, er, Fat Lady?

Looking forward to having you discuss why that one got your attention.

Great first post! And story as well

Here is mine. Had it for a couple months only, but it has taken over my collection. Having many modern watches I didn't think I would like this bracelet, but it's one of the most comfy I have.

Wearing this is like an old baseball glove. Just perfect

Cool thread!

This is my P serial 16710 (2001). I bought it in 2006 and rotate it about every other week.

I have the Pepsi because it is so iconic & looks awesome. I also have the black & coke inserts and a jubilee bracelet. Like to mix it up now and again. Pepsi / oyster is the current look for summer.

Hi, can someone enlighten me please.

Does the pepsi/coke/black gmt has got different identification numbers at birth? Can one tell them apart if their bezel was swapped out?
Especially the mid 70's pepsi and black option.

Thanks

I believe the 16710 has letter suffixes on the paperwork (not on the watch). "16710 B" indicates Pepsi. "16710 A" indicates Coke. I think I have the right.

I don't know about the 1675.

I don't know how I missed this thread. Here's mine with a new bezel that I don't wear much and my much preferred faded one.

I've owned mine for almost 2 years. I wear it at least 2 times a week and most of the time it is weeks at a time. I purchased as my birth year and also as a birth year for my son.

Here is mine, got it from Jacek a year ago. It's my daily beater. 1675 from 77-78.
My brother got a 1680 in -78 and I had my eyes set on the GMT when my preferences was sidetracked by digital watches in the early 80's, started looking again in the early 90's but never pulled the trigger until now.

This doesn't compare to some of the watches in this thread, but I love my 16700

I had been looking out for a Pepsi for some time, to compliment my 5513 & 1680 Subs. I have a friend who is an AD, and out of the blue he turned me up a 1675 from 1967/68 a couple of months back. One owner from new and he serviced etc just as I bought it. The original owner traded up for a new Rolex. I have been wearing it fairly solidly since and am very pleased with it. Feels a bit lighter and is perhaps easier worn than my Subs. No doubt the bracelet and probably a few other parts have been changed through the years, but it maintains its maxi dial (almost dark grey rather than pure black) look. Definitely a classic from Rolex and definite keeper!
