First things first. Make sure you try both on. Secondly, i would lean towards the submariner because it would be easier to resell and for less of a loss if you decide you want the datejust.

Inwould try the black bezel
GMT II C. Sporty tey dressier than a sub. Best of both worlds.

The ND Sub would be my pick. Far more versatile imo.

I wore my 116610LVc at my wedding and it really looked good in the pictures that was before I had my WG Sub, I still would've worn the LVc. My favorite watch

Are you getting the DJ with a fluted bezel? That's the one I'd wear for a formal occasion. The plain bezel makes it look more sporty IMO. If you're going that route may as well get the sub. But don't buy it just for the one occasion, get the one that will be the most useful beyond the wedding. Get the one you'll say "I do" want to wear you everyday.

And congrats!

I ended up buying a sub I have wanted a rolex for some time now and just seemed fitting to get it for the wedding anyhow I haven't been able to resist wearing it had it on everyday since I got it haha. I figured I will be building on my collection when I get to my 30th so think the dj might be added then 👍
