A Navitimer would be appropriate for a person of high caliber like your son.

As a testament to its quality and accuracy, I bought a used Old Navitimer II more than 13 years ago. No problem whatsoever. It gave me almost perfect time. I only had it serviced April this year.

My love affair with it, continues to bloom each passing day.
