Vintage omega model geneve
Hola Amigos!! Hello Friends!!
I wish to share a just purchased addition to my Omega stable. It is a Geneve model, circa 1950´s, very similar to the one shown by my nice young friend and skilled photographer Kyle. (I´m sure he will love this one!) The watch shown by Kyle is a manual wind one, but the one I bought yesterday, came with an automatic movement, as it clearly tells on its dial. As you can see by the pictures, this watch, with its rose gold case, is in a pristine condition in spite of its age. The previous owner offered to change the straps which I didn´t like, for a brand new set of crocodile leather, in a dark blue color. I show my new finding, with another little old Omega (manual wind) I got some time ago. I like to wear these oldies, though they definitively look rather small by comparison with the present BIG watch trend. They got a 34 mm diameter, which looks rather small, but representative of the type in common use in those far times. I feel that to wear one of these lovely watches, is a bit like driving a vintage european sport car. Just a personal feeling!! I hope you like these watches, and send my best cordial regards, Abel

Oh boy... Where do you find these beauties? Pink gold looks nice, I think it is rarer as well. I'm starting to like gold, it gives off a warmer feel.

Hello Kyle!! Thank you for your comments!
I´m glad you liked it. I was very fortunate with these finds, as well with a Connie I showed some time ago. All are in gold, and in fabulous condition. I like gold in these old watches of the 40´s through 60´s, they add charm and warmth to the piece, without being too gaudy. Thank you again Kyle!! Very cordially, Abel

Cool looking watches. My dad has an old Seamaster from 1975 that was my grandfathers and it looks great.
