What is the last year/serial the 16800 had a matte dial?

84/85 is generally considered the timeframe for the change over to WG surrounds with the normal crossover period.

I'll move this to the vintage section where it should get more play.

The time frame is somewhat off NYF. I would agree with Mike's timeline. 1984 is pretty much the accepted time frame for the introduction of the glossy dials. I do not believe most would consider a serial number higher than 84XXXXX for the matte dials.

While on the subject on matte 16800's, should the lume not glow at all?
I have a 6.6m serial.
