Very nice. Love the chocolate dial and Everose Gold combo.

Ive been looking for another everyday watch. Currently have the GMT 2, DateJust 2 blue dial SST, and the DJ2 Rhodium with Diamond in SST.
For my birthday, my wife got me a Hublot Black Magic which is great looking but I have been eyeing the YMaster 40 in Rhodium dial. I just wondering if I should go with the YM 40 instead of the Hublot.
For the people having the YM 40, is a good everyday watch, like the GMT 2? My wife thinks all the Rolex looks similar thats why she picked the Hublot for me. But I dont know much about the Hublot watches.

Haha here is one more; I really like this watch it is very structurally unusual compared to nearly all other Rolex sports models - all-gold sand-blasted bezzle that does not wear well(mine will be mirror finished in a few months the way I wear watches); same movement and overall capability as a submariner besides depth rating, and weird bulky oversized end links that overlap the case lugs - and this is nothing compared to the Yachtmaster II:

Rolex has done away with the overlapping end link but I still like it. It's one of the things that was unique to the YM. I like the new ones too though.

Nice pictures everyone! Anyone has the 116222 blue dial on leather (black, brown, tan)?

Just bought a yachtmaster... my 2nd Rolex but first bought and paid for in full by myself (25th Birthday present to me!).

Surprised at how fragile the watch is compared to my 1984 inherited sub... have already started to build patina on the bezel!

Bonus photo of the watch of the open seas at sea....... not sure if this is what Rolex meant however!

My first Rolex is a vintage sub from the time of 316L, which by nature is a slightly more arduous material than 904L, which scratches a little easier... but this is the case with all modern Rolex watches.

The patina on the bezel of these watches is usually nothing more than greasy finger marks that show up on the frosted part of the bezel.
Easily removed by gently wiping with a Q-Tip that has been briefly dunked in acetone.
It won't effect the metal at all and will remove the finger marks that dull down the bezel, restoring it to its original lustre.
Simples!

Hi all!
As promised in July here is my 16622 full set. Received in August and still in the box with unadjusted bracelet due to health problems. Bought it in Germany and loved the amazing conditions of the watch. Never serviced and the owner told me the watch was a weekend wearer.
The platinum dial is beautiful. After thinking about buying the blue dial I'm sure this one was the right decision.
Sorry for the pics, the watch is dirty and full of fingerprints.

Have a nice day!!

Question for YM owners:

I'm considering a blue or rhodium gray YM and am curious how much I should be concerned about the platinum bezel being prone to scratches? I've heard it can be an issue.

For context, I currently own a white Milguass, and am considering adding a YM, EXP II, or Sub. Thanks in advance!

Loving mine!... my only minor(almost trivial) dislike is not enough contrast between the bezel and the watch on the all gold model unlike a sub etc...
