SMP Chrono 2594: Long Time Coming

I've coveted this model for a long time, but for many reasons, never got one until now. Love sword hands - had the 2542 several times, always admired the original Seamaster 300 divers and will get one soon - and the world class P. Piguet column-wheel movement. Yes, the hands make the subdials less readable than skeleton style ones, but they look so much better to me. Also, I like the completely brushed links on the Speedmaster style bracelet, which is unique to this model.

IMO, this model is criminally under-appreciated, and due to low production and timeless looks, its value will probably skyrocket in the generation to follow.

Get yours while they can still be found in mint condition for a reasonable sum!

Very nice Applebook! If you don't mind me asking, where did you end up finding it?

I like this version a lot. The sword hands look much better than the skeleton hands.

I had been keeping a lookout for one of these forever. A few weeks ago, I did a quick search on ePrey, and one in Vancouver (local) showed up at a very good price. It was an immediate BUY IT NOW for me. This is one of the watches that I couldn't shake after years of wanting. The movement is so smooth and accurate, but it's not easy to service and had its teething problems when OMEGA first released it.

Beautiful example of this model...

I have followed the 2594.52 for a long time, and am finally in the market to pick one up. I hope to acquire one soon - as soon as I find the right one!

This is a no-nonsense Omega. As our friend Rashid once said about this model, I wish Omega would still make watches like that.
