Omega Speedmaster 145.022 caseback
Hey guys! Been quite some time since I have posted here.
I need help in finding the original Speedmaster 145.022 caseback. It is the one with just 'speedmaster' and the sea monster engraved. Looks like this: http://robertmaron.com/images/D/OM-S...69-FLAT-05.jpg It is specifically for the Cal 861. I know the Cal 321 caseback fits and looks similar but I want the exact original. Does anyone know where I can get one? Cheers! |

Troll the 'bay. Try a WTB here and OF.
You might get lucky, but those are not common without a movement, case, dial, hands and crystal already attached. Put a Priek on in the meantime and enjoy looking at the movement.

If you are looking for the exact original case back I assume you need it stamped with the correct year?
If I read you right you need a Transitional case back which would be the sea monster engraving but stamped 145022 ST68 or 69. Is this correct? That's a tough find in good condition. I have been working on a project over the last year where I've needed the same style case back. I've only see one for sale on eBay and it went for $289. I finally relented and have gone for the new 145.0012 replacement. I also have numerous WTB ads posted now for the case back you are looking for with no luck. It not impossible but not easy or quick to find what you want. |
