The skies the limit as far as pricing but to put it in a more realistic price range up to or @ 15k. > Gmtll 16710 or earlier Gmts... Subs > 1680/5512/16610lv. Can't rule out 5 dgt Subs or Seadwellers on the march @ 10k. Investments or not they're all great to enjoy and will at least hold gold value since it is a consideration when putting out that much money for a used and discontinued watch..

Vintage Tudor Day Dates are a bargain right now. Kind of considering one myself. I'd love to have a TT Datejust with Champagne dial. The quintessential Rolex.

Just 8 years ago they couldn't even give those away. They were selling for $3,400 and $3,500 all day long. An AD here in 2012 had 3 polars in the case, all brand new, one of which was actually a NOS holes case, and they were all $3,600. The sales associate said he would give me a deal on one if I took it because they couldn't sell them. My lord, how times have changed!! I should have bought all 3 and all of the GMTIICs that were selling for ~$6K. LOL

Totally agree. Picked up a white dial 116264 last summer in London for around $4,500, full set, just serviced by RSC in London! A truly underrated beauty with an important name in the Rolex history.

1530 good choice, people who said 1530 is no demand, never observe the price trend of the 1530. a decent 1530 with the correct and nice dial is over USd 12K now. two years age below 10K. This watch is really high CP compared with many other Rolex. It looks bigger compared with 36mmDD or DJ.
